Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology is a well known private university founded on 20 October 1995 under the Act number 17 of 1995 at Hisar, Haryana. The GJUST university is recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission). National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) re-accredited the university as 'A' grade in 2002. The university has 7 faculties classified in 18 different teaching departments. At present, the university offers 45 regular courses on campus including B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, M.Sc, M.Com. MBA, MCA, and PH.D. or M.Phil degree in all the Departments. Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology also offers 17 courses through distance education mode. The distance education courses stand approved by the UGC, All India Council for Technical Education and Distance Education Council.

There are total 8 hostels (3 for boys, 4 for girls and one for working women on campus). All 8 hotels are within the surveillance of close circuit camera. 24x7 hours emergency hospital for students and university staff with all equipment like a nebulizer, autoanalyser and hematologyanaylser RVG, autoclave, foetal monitor, Apex locator, ECG machine, scaler etc. Banking, Post office, Computer center, Shopping Complex all these facilities are available at the university campus.
