Ph.D. Admissions Educational Qualifications:
Ph.D. applicant ought to score 55% aggregate marks in master degree with an exemption of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PHC. S/he should have qualified JRF in NET conducted by UGC, CSIR or have valid GATE scores. Most of the universities conduct an entrance exam and an interview to select the worthy candidates. So the candidate should have deep knowledge of one's subject and zeal to understand it further.
Ph.D. Admissions Age Limit:
UGC has fixed 28 years age for taking the NET exam with an exemption for women and non-general category candidates. If a candidate wants to do Ph.D. without qualifying for JRF then there is no age limit for him.
